Focus THRON² 6.9 SMALL

The FOCUS THRON² offers maximum versatility. With 130 mm F.O.L.D. travel and 29″ wheels, the THRON² is at home on the trail and gets even more out of every ride thanks to the Bosch Performance CX (Gen.4) e-drive with 625 Wh. You can also equip it with a rear rack, mudguards, kickstand and lights. This touring bike opens up a whole new range of possibilities, from bikepacking to commuting.

Diverse usage
From trail tours through alpine terrain to your daily commute and bikepacking: anything is possible with the THRON². With certain changes to the build, you can add various features to your THRON² – depending on where your e-MTB tour is going. Additionally, a USB-C port on the top tube gives you the opportunity to charge your devices. Furthermore, the specially developed C.I.S. (Cockpit Integration Solution) design ensures a clean cockpit and constantly seamless shifting and braking. All cables run from the handlebar into the stem and through the headset into the frame.

Fun, comfort and safety in every situation
The F.O.L.D. kinematics with 130 mm suspension travel absorbs all the bumps on your way. Whether it is the fast flow trail or the rough gravel route – the perfect mix of sensitivity and strong bottom-out resistance lets you enjoy all your rides. The characteristics are completely progressive which results in a chassis that offers a lot of stability making you feel safe on any terrain. Especially e-mountain bikes with the additional weight of motor and battery benefit from more progression. This allows you to handle any trail while the chassis still provides comfort for long laps. Furthermore, the lower standover of the THRON² 6.8 gives you more space to play on the trail.

Super powerful and dynamic e-motor
The efficient Bosch Performance CX e-drive (Gen. 4) supports your ride up to 25 km/h with powerful 85 Nm. The strongest e-motor of Bosch is perfectly integrated, the THRON² rides well-balanced. In eMTB mode, the motor support adjusts automatically to your riding power. The new 750 Wh (size S: 625 Wh) battery (smart system) delivers endless tail fun. The battery is integrated into the down tube, yet removable for charging.

The THRON² offers a balanced, sporty ride – more than capable of taking on any trail, but also a bit more comfortable. In contrast to the more aggressive JAM² , the THRON² has a more upright sitting position without extreme stack (a little higher) or reach (a little shorter). The chainstays offer enough space to install high-quality alloy mudguards. Riding fun is not missed out – the THRON² is right at home on the trail. The THRON² is capable of anything from bikepacking and commuting to trail tours through alpine terrain. It’s an all-rounder that will get you anywhere you need to go, supported by the powerful Bosch Performance CX e-drive.

Technologies

FOCUS OPTIMIZED LINKAGE DESIGN F.O.L.D.
F.O.L.D. stands for FOCUS Optimised Linkage Design, and offers the ultimate in rear suspension. The patented F.O.L.D. kinematics make it possible to optimise the rear triangle for an extremely wide range of different requirements: F.O.L.D. is extremely sensitive while being progressive enough to prevent a harsh bottom out. Focus has updated F.O.L.D. for the model year 2020. The chainstay is now more rigid, without forgoing the proven advantages of F.O.L.D.. How does that work? The guidelink now moves in the mainlink and it now consists of two components, screwed together. It is more rigid, because the forces exerted are now channelled directly through the link and no longer via the bridge. The integration of the guidelink also means that the linkage is more streamlined. The damper is now on the head, guaranteeing perfect kinematics and low weight with the new design.

COCKPIT INTEGRATION SOLUTION C.I.S.
C.I.S. stands for Cockpit Integration Solution and summarizes all internal cable routing on the cockpits of our road, gravel and mountain bikes. We developed several C.I.S. stems specifically to the needs of the bike category, f.e. an aero stem for the IZALCO MAX or a super short stem for our mountain bikes. They all have in common that they route all cables through stem and headset into the frame while still providing perfect functionality for both electronic and mechanical shifting. As a result, your cockpit looks super clean and the cables are protected internally.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
The cables and hydraulic lines are routed inside the frame for protection, creating a neat look and extending the service life of the lines for perfect gear shifting and braking at all times.
